　 Thank you for coming to the web site of 'The club SIZES'.
The name of this site originated from the initials of Sports, Music & *Language – S, M, and L, which also stand for the sizes of clothes.
And the pronunciation of 'SIZES' has another meaning related to events or festivals in Japanese.
Though this site is basically used for English language interchange between Japanese and  foreigners who have been in Japan before, it is also possible for those of the same nationality to use Japanese language on this site.
I'll explain why I opened this web site.
I've been studying English conversation for a long time with other students.
Although there is no sign that I've improved my English, the other members of the class and I have gotten to know many foreigners who lived in our area.
Unfortunately, these valuable meetings and relationships always finish when the foreigners return home.
I still stay in contact with some of them, but if all of us contact our foreign friends, they must spend precious time to contact each of us individually.
I made the web pages so that we can contact not only the foreigners in Japan , but also our foreign friends who have gone back home.
Each member can contact many other members by simply writing messages on the web site at his or her convenience.
To put it concretely then, in the name of this club.

　 　The club SIZESの名前の由来はSports（スポーツ）、Music（音楽）、Language（※言語）のそれぞれの頭文字が「S」、「Ｍ」、「Ｌ」と洋服のサイズをあらわす記号と同じであること、さらに日本語の「催事」とよく似た発音のため、それにもかけ、複数形のsizeｓ（サイジス）と表記したものです。
　基本的にはこれらを通して外国人と日本人が交流するための場ですが、日本人同士、外国人同士間で使っていただいても構いません。
　なぜ、このサイトを開いたかとというと、私は個人的にこの数年で十人前後の在日外国人と知り合うことができましたが、彼らと知り合っても帰国してしまえばまったく交流はなくなり、せっかくの縁はそこで途切れてしまいます。
　個人的にコンタクトをとれる場合でも、自分１人が相手に与えられる情報には限りがあり、相手にとっても儀礼上、返信をくれるにしても、この多忙な時代に私１人のために貴重な時間を費やすことに実は抵抗を感じているかもしれません。
　このようなことから、ホームページを媒体に、在日外国人はもちろん、帰国者とも国境を越えた交流ができ、しかも時間のあるときの一度の書き込みで大勢に情報を知らせることのできるサイトを作れればと思い立ちました。
　具体的には、このクラブの名称ともなったスポーツやコンサートなどの催事情報、趣味、冠婚、旅行など、自身が経験した事柄を公共のアルバムとして使っていただきたいと考えております。
　もちろん、言語をはじめ、様々な障害もありますが、でき得ればそれぞれの友人、知人と自然に輪が広がり、いつかグローバルなサイトになればと考えています。
　なお、出会い系サイトのようないかがわしいサイトにはしたくないため、基本的にはメンバー専用サイトとして位置づけておりますが、メンバー（参加者）の中に知り合いがいれば参加していただいて構いません。（参加者との関係が中断している方はご遠慮慮ください。）
　なお、その際にはメンバーシップのページをご一読の上、指定の方法でメンバー登録してください。
　このサイトを通して各国の人々の相互理解が少しでも深まれば幸いです。
　
　全ての情報は念のため多種類のログを取っています。他人の悪口、根拠のない噂はもちろん、本人の許可のない個人情報は絶対に書き込まないでください。

This club is basically open to everything. So anyone can enter and join this site if you can satisfy the following conditions.
Besides, there are no club dues or entrance fees for this club.

3. You never curse anyone or dispute more than would be reasonable.

5.  You have the responsibility for any information you write in this BBS system. 
6. You never write anyone's personal information or submit photos without the person's consent.
7. You never use this BBS system to forward users to another site or ※to advertise for business, politics, religion and so on,
except notices of cultural events, sports, concerts, personal parties and so on.  
※　It is OK to link to your relative one business pages from  your introductory page. 
8. When you meet anyone from this system outside of this site,  recognize that it is  your own decision and responsibility.

　基本的に緩いサークルですので、次の条件を満たす人であればどなたでも参加いただけます。
　なお、会費や入会金は一切必要ありません。

１． 現参加メンバーの少なくとも１人以上と親交があること。あるいは知り合いがいること。
２． サイト内で、名前と写真を掲載することを容認すること。
３． 他人に対する悪口雑言を書き込んだり、必要以上の激しい論争を行わないこと。
４． アダルト画像や自身に著作権のない写真を著作権者の許しなく添付しないこと。
５． 自身が書き込んだ情報には責任を持つこと。
６． 本人の許可なく他人の個人情報を書き込まないこと。
７． このサイトを用いて※商業的、政治的、宗教的活動、その他、種々の勧誘を行わないこと。（イベント、スポーツ、音楽等の文化的な催事や、パーティー、忘年会などの個人的な催しを除く）
※但し、自身の紹介ページから貴方の関係する一企業のページへリンクすることは可。
８． オフ会を行うときは自己責任の上で行うこと。
